The Australian Curriculum across Years 3–6 assists students to develop their ability to take positive action for well-being; relate and communicate well with others; pose questions and solve problems; make informed decisions and act responsibly. It engages students more purposefully with the discipline knowledge, understanding and skills of the eight learning areas of the Australian Curriculum.

Stretton State College has implemented the Australian Curriculum in the key learning areas of English, maths and science and history. As well as an emphasis on these areas students study a wide variety of other key learning areas including:
  • health and physical education
  • technology
  • languages (Italian - Year 5 & 6)
  • visual art
  • music
  • information communication technology (ICTs) are utilised within all key learning area.
