Pedal Prix (formerly known as the Human Powered Vehicle program) has become one of the flagship programs at Stretton State College. This exciting initiative gives students the opportunity to compete in multiple Pedal Prix races throughout the year, bringing together enthusiastic students, parents, teachers, spectators, and technology exhibitors. Each race is a dynamic celebration of technology, teamwork, perseverance, and innovation.
For the past 14 years, Stretton has been designing and racing high-performance vehicles in the Mixed and School Built Bike categories, achieving outstanding success and filling our trophy cabinet in the process. Our teams compete in both single-day sprint events and grueling overnight endurance races, where riders take turns on the track from midday Saturday until 8 AM Sunday morning.
Beyond the thrill of competition, Pedal Prix fosters resilience, teamwork, and strategic thinking while promoting physical fitness and overall wellbeing. It’s a program that challenges students to push their limits and work together to achieve success - both on and off the track.
